Poetry Asylum's Sixth Anniversary Celebration

 Poetry (&Prose) Night!

Thursday, October 16 at 7:30pm

Tater & Joe's Cafe in Terre Haute, Indiana

Poetry (&Prose) Night is the monthly open mic hosted by th' poetry asylum, and this month marks our six year of nonstop monthly poetry readings and community events! You get 5 minutes to spill your guts in the genre of your choice in a supportive, low-key atmosphere. This event is held on the third Thursday of every month.

In honor of our six year anniversary, this will be a very special P(&P) Night, including giveaways, group activities, and a special reading of “Creator's Spoof” by local playwright Monique Mosley, a piece about fighting to achieve your goals.

Three people are stuck in a room, each with a very important task to accomplish.  There’s a door of opportunity and when it opens, the resources they each need are available.  However, the resources can only be given to one individual at a time.   And when the door closes, they don’t know how long it will be before the door opens again. This is a brief journey into the process of fighting for what you want.  Even if what you want isn’t real.

There will be cake.
