2014 Spring Musical: The Mystery of Edwin Drood

a musical by Rupert Holmes
directed by Chris Berchild

music direction by Mark Carlisle

In 1870, Charles Dickens laid down his pen forever--unfortunately leaving his great murder mystery, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, unfinished. Now, a theater company on the stage of London’s Music Hall Royale gets together to finish the story in grand musical fashion! What happened to Edwin Drood and who is accused of foul play? Is it the devious John Jasper, the beautiful Rosa Budd, or the mysterious Neville Landless? Only Dickens knows for sure...and since he’s dead, it’s up to the audience to decide whodunnit! The winner of the 1986 Tony Award for Best Musical, The Mystery of Edwin Drood combines a hilarious and exciting plot with wonderful music that will thrill and delight the entire audience! Tickets for The Mystery of Edwin Drood will be on sale at the New Theater ticket office beginning Monday, March 31 through Friday, April 4 from noon--4:30pm.  All tickets for the show must be pre-paid and picked up prior to the show or at the door at Dreiser Theatre (open one hour before each performance) General Admission: $20; Students free with ISU Student ID
